An Update on the Iconic Guitars x John Cruz Collaboration

Over the past year, the team and I at Iconic Guitars have had the privilege of working with Master Builder John Cruz on a select line of handcrafted instruments known as the Solana Studio JC, part of our limited Iconic/John Cruz Studio Series. These guitars carried John’s storied legacy while showcasing our shared commitment to building professional-grade instruments with purpose, feel, and soul.
As of this month, John and I have mutually agreed to bring that collaboration to a close.
This decision wasn’t made lightly, but it was made with mutual respect and with the understanding that creative paths sometimes evolve in different directions. I want to personally thank John for his contributions during our time working together. I entered this partnership with the full intention of building something lasting, and I remain proud of what we accomplished with the Solana Studio JC instruments.
Moving Forward
• All Iconic/John Cruz guitars remain official, authentic, and fully supported. Every Solana Studio JC and Studio Series model will continue to be backed by Iconic’s factory warranty and customer care.
• No new guitars will be produced under this partnership. The collaboration has officially concluded, and there will be no additional instruments bearing the Cruz/Proctor combination.
• Iconic Guitars continues to stand behind every instrument we build, whether purchased through one of our valued dealer partners or directly from us.
A Final Note
We recognize that the guitar industry is shifting. The market is tighter, players are more selective, and authenticity matters more than ever. At Iconic, our mission remains the same: to build inspiring, human-crafted instruments with character, precision, and purpose. That hasn’t changed and it won’t.
To everyone who supported the Iconic Guitars/John Cruz collaboration, thank you. To the dealers who believed in the Solana Studio JC vision, thank you. And to John, sincerely, we wish you the absolute best in whatever lies ahead.
This chapter may be closed, but our passion for creating world-class guitars burns brighter than ever. Stay tuned… some very exciting things are coming soon.
